Working Student, Research
The CS/RES notes are how people find us. You would take one from question to draft: pull the data, replicate the mechanism, and write the honest version, including the parts that do not survive contact with the sample.
Indicative range, set by experience and by where you are. We would rather say a number up front than waste your time.
What you would do
- Take a research question from data pull to first draft.
- Replicate a mechanism on real data and find out whether it actually holds.
- Write the honest version, including the part that does not survive the sample.
- Work directly with the people building the models, with nothing in between.
What you would bring
- MSc-level study in econometrics, atmospheric science, physics, energy or similar.
- Python, and the habit of checking your own result before anyone else does.
- Curiosity about weather, energy, commodities or climate that predates this advert.
- Around 20 hours a week, on a schedule that suits your studies.
How we work
We are three people and we stay small on purpose. Everyone here builds, validates and ships their own work, and everyone talks to the people who use it. The trade-off is total ownership and very little structure. There is no manager, no HR department and no job ladder waiting for you.
